Perhaps you remember our trip to the Jurassic coast in England last year to go fossil hunting. This year we visited Normandy in France, and while the focus was mostly on visiting the locations of the Normandy landing during the Second World War, we did make some time to go fossil hunting too. Once, the whole area was a tropical sea full of long-gone creatures, not fish and chips versus baguettes.

I think this is a Rastellum, an extinct genus of molluscs, which lived from the Middle Jurassic to the Late Cretaceous.
