Art haul (Holbein & Pith)

Oh, I’ve been eyeing these art supplies for such a long time that I thought I’d never see them in real life 🙂
But then, my partner had to be in London, and I said: “Great!” haha.
The UK has Jackson’s, an art shop, that grew to almost legendary proportions in my mind after hearing so many of the other artists I draw with on Patreon talk about their ‘Jackson’s orders’ or the temptation of ordering their wishlists.
And indeed, this store has so many high-quality and cool materials (+ super fast shipping in the UK) that I can’t seem to find anywhere close by.
I refrained from a crazy splurge, knowing very well that I don’t like soft pastels enough to order sets of the Unisons (but they look soooo good, and I tried a few during the art retreat – they are nothing like the ones I own). Space on their travels to Sweden was also limited, of course.
What I got:
– Holbein pencils (coral, vermillion, mustard, lavender blue, chocolate, smalt blue, smoke blue)
– 3 Pith sketchbooks. (Kabosu, Cara Cara)
– Holbein gouache (ash green, ash blue, peony, smalt blue, pale coral, Rikyu grey)
– 2 mop brushes
I’ve been swatching already and so excited! I hope I won’t be too precious over the Pith sketchbooks. I just finished my other A5 sketchbook (a Royal Talens one), so one of these days I’ll dive in!
