I know, I know, it’s absolutely ridiculous how much I enjoy cleaning and polishing old metal objects.

On an evening walk, we passed a local farm that had a sign “Loppis”- which means “flea market”.

They had an old barn and a small summer cottage with all kinds of old stuff like dusty bibles, flower pots, a sink, decorations, toys,… a very random mix.
And I saw a few items that I thought could be copper. They were in bad shape. very dirty and scratched.

I started way too careful, but slowly a beautiful shine revealed itself.

I didn’t have the time for that perfect polished surface, but I did clean up both the inside and outside as well as I could and felt super satisfied witht the result. It can be a nice one for rocks, or small pencils. Or maybe small ink pots? We’ll see.
